Module 4 — Denim Quality & Wash Evaluation
Shade, wash effects, construction and comparison with Brand-approved finish standards.
What you will be able to do
Map exactly which wash effects the Brand has approved, and where, before judging any garment. Compare denim with the approved wash range fairly, area by area. Separate approved design effects from defects, without confusing appearance with structural integrity. Check that washing has not weakened construction, and report with full traceability.
The practical work
Practical 4A: Approved wash mapping. Practical 4B: Like-area wash comparison. Practical 4C: Intended versus suspect effect.
Prerequisite: Read module 3 and pass its quiz first.
