Module 1 — Color Evaluation
Light sources, assessment setup, gray scales and comparison with Brand-approved samples and shade bands.
What you will be able to do
Confirm that every color judgment is made against the correct, current, approved reference — before looking at any garment. Set up a visual color assessment that follows the applicable procedure, and record the conditions so the result can be repeated. Describe a color difference precisely and choose the correct assessment tool for the question being asked. Evaluate shade across a lot without losing traceability, and document the basis of every decision.
The practical work
Practical 1A: Reference audit. Practical 1B: Paired fabric comparison. Practical 1C: Shade sorting with traceability.
