Assess an incoming fabric lot and select fabric for a stated end use with test evidence rather than habit.
The practical work
Inspect one inbound lot with the four-point system, record shade and width variation, and decide accept, hold or reject with a written reason. Then write a fabric selection note for a specified end use, listing the properties that matter, the test methods that prove them and the minimums you will accept.
