Module 4 — Sewing and Construction Engineering
Diagnose seam and construction risks using physical evidence, compatible measurements and controlled trials.
What you will be able to do
Connect seam type, stitch formation, thread and material to function. Distinguish observed thread failure, fabric damage and seam opening. Build competing hypotheses from defect patterns. Check interactions among assembly, finishing and rework.
The practical work
Practical SEAM-ENGINEERING-MAP: Map a real garment construction and seam risks. Practical SEAM-INVESTIGATION: Write a controlled defect investigation and rework record.
Prerequisite: Module 3 quiz passed (6 of 8). Basic spreadsheet use (sort, filter, sum, average).

Guided real-garment practicals
Done with a trainer on real garments. Each has a printable worksheet with a separate trainer section. Submit each practical digitally from its worksheet page; a trainer scores it. Both practicals in this module must be trainer-approved (75% or more, critical points met) before the next module opens; all 24 practicals and an observed capstone are required for course completion.

Course completion and certificate status
Completion needs all 12 module quizzes (6 of 8 each), all 24 practicals approved by a trainer, an observed and approved capstone (15 of 20, critical gates met) and the 20-question final (15 of 20). It is a NOSK.LIFE course completion record, not external accreditation. When every requirement is met you can download your certificate from the student portal. Lesson reading is saved on this device, and to your account when you are signed in, as a reading record only.
