The brand behind the course

About GARMENT TECH Ed

A free, open learning brand for garment technology — built so that anyone, anywhere, can learn how clothing is really made, from the first consumer signal to circular recovery.

Our mission

Make real factory knowledge open to every learner

The garment industry runs on knowledge that usually stays inside factory walls: how a marker is planned, how a sewing line is balanced, how fabric is inspected, how dye lots are controlled, and what really happens to clothing at end of use. GARMENT TECH Ed exists to write that knowledge down, check it, and give it away.

The full learning path covers the complete value chain in 42 stages, 30 in-depth industry chapters and 200 lessons — each with how the work is done, indicative metrics, control points and common pitfalls. It is self-study material, kept honest about what is proven practice and what is still maturing.

Our method

How every lesson is written, checked and taught

The same method runs through all 200 lessons, 30 industry chapters and 42 value-chain stages. It was built so a learner who has never set foot in a factory can read a chapter and understand not just what happens in garment production, but how the work is done, where it goes wrong, and what numbers a technologist actually watches.

What the brand stands for

Open learning

Every course, chapter and lesson is free, with no account and no paywall. Progress is stored on the learner's own device.

Factory-real content

Lessons are written from real production floors — cutting rooms, sewing lines, labs and dispatch — not from marketing brochures.

Circular by design

The value chain runs from consumer signal to circular recovery, so sustainability is taught as part of the process, not an afterthought.

Concept to action

Each idea links to the stage where the work actually happens, so learners can follow a path from reading to doing.

01 — STRUCTURE

Written from real production practice

Every chapter follows one fixed structure, so you always know what you are reading: an overview of the work, how it is done step by step, the decisions a technologist makes, indicative metrics with real units, the control points where quality is caught, and the pitfalls that cause real claims and rework.

Deeper chapters add worked calculations with units, real case studies, an eight-point checklist, a glossary and practice questions with answers.

02 — HONESTY

Checked before it ships

Specialist reviewers with mill, lab and production-floor experience read every chapter and lesson before publication. When a reviewer finds an error, it is corrected and the correction is made openly.

Metric targets are published as indicative working ranges — never as standards or legal limits — and where an industry practice is still maturing, we say so plainly instead of overselling it.

03 — ACTION

Connected from concept to action

Nothing sits in isolation. Each lesson links to the industry chapter that teaches it, and each chapter maps to the value-chain stages where the work actually happens — so you can move from an idea to the factory floor and back.

A short quiz at the end of each chapter checks understanding before you move on, and your progress is tracked on your own device or your learner account.

About us

Written from the factory floor, not the classroom

GARMENT TECH Ed is the learning brand of NOSK.life, the global garment technology hub. All content is authored by Sanjeewa Dehiwalage, a garment technology specialist with hands-on experience across mills, labs and production floors in one of the world's great garment-making regions.

Every lesson and chapter goes through structured review before publication, and corrections are made openly when a specialist reviewer finds an error. Metric targets are published as indicative working ranges — never as standards or legal limits — and lessons remain self-study material, not certified training.
