From the factory floor to NOSK.life
NOSK.life was founded by Sanjeewa Dehiwalage, who has spent more than 27 years in garment quality and technology. This is the journey behind it.
Roots
Kurunegala, Sri Lanka
Sanjeewa Dehiwalage was born and raised in Kurunegala, in Sri Lanka's North Western Province. After a Diploma in Computer Programming at the Technical Engineering College (1996–1997), he chose the garment industry.
1998 – 2004
The first floor — MSA Mode
As a QA auditor and later Senior QA Auditor, he learned the craft where it matters most: on the line. AQL sampling, defect classification and root-cause thinking became daily habits.
2004 – 2011
Leading quality — EAM Maliban Textiles
Seven years as Manager QA, turning buyer requirements into systems that teams could follow every shift.
2011 – today
Across borders — Hirdaramani Bangladesh
In Chittagong he grew from Senior Manager Garment Technology & Quality, with a Levi QMP certified team, to Brand Tech Manager for American Eagle programmes, then AGM (2022–2025) leading more than a thousand people, and DGM Garment Technology & Quality from April 2025.
Learning never stopped
MBA, Black Belt, leadership
Along the way he earned an MBA from the University of Gloucestershire, a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, and completed the Leaders Excellence programme at Harvard Square.
2024
NOSK.life is founded
Over 27 years he saw talented people held back simply because training cost money. NOSK.life began in 2024 on one belief: a lack of money should not mean the end of someone's education.
Today
Free learning, tools and careers
NOSK.life now shares garment-industry courses, the step-by-step Quality Academy, free factory calculators and a jobs board — open to everyone, from operators to technical leaders, free of charge.
