Practical 3A: Paired-point mapping
Measure paired features reliably and compare them with a supplied tolerance.
Materials
- Real trousers
- Specification with defined points and paired tolerance (supplied by trainer)
- Tape measure
- Mapping worksheet
Setup
- Lay the trousers flat without force.
- Mark defined points as listed in the specification.
Steps
- Measure each left feature from its defined point.
- Measure the matching right feature from the matching point.
- Calculate the difference.
- Compare with the supplied tolerance and record the result.
