Cooling investments can cut heat stress costs in Bangladesh garment factories

In Bangladesh, the temperature inside factories often exceeds the outdoor temperature. Workers in the ironing and finishing departments, in particular, are exposed to intense heat.
A report by Cornell University, based on temperature readings collected over six months at eight factories in Dhaka found that Heat stress was found to reduce annual revenue by an average of 4.1%.
